The Anaheim Ducks visited the Calgary Flames April 19th. The Flames defeated the Ducks 3 – 1 in a game that meant nearly nothing, at least as it pertains to the standings. The Ducks have clinched a playoff spot while the Flames continue to struggle, missing the playoffs for the fourth year in a row. Not much is looking bright for the Flames, trading longtime Captain Jarome Iginla to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and now, longtime goalie Miikka Kiprusoff has stated his intentions of retiring at the end of the season. A fan holds a sign reading, “Kipper please don’t go”.
