Patrick Kane is a bonafide shootout superstar. If there’s one reason the NHL should keep the shootout in place, it’s to see what a guy like Kane can come up with next.
In last night’s shootout against the Dallas Stars, Kane started off with speed, then hit the brakes and came in much slower, as he’s been known to do in the past.
When Kane got close to Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen, he finally unleashed the hands. He dangled the puck back and forth a number of times as he approached Lehtonen head on before finally pulling the puck to his right and roofing an absolute beauty of a backhand.
Kane without a doubt has the best shootout moves in the game right now. His quick hands also helped the Blackhawas to a 3-2 win and nice start to the season.

Teuvo Teravainen pulled the same move a few nights before to win the game.
