FIRST STAR – PAVEL DATSYUK, C, DETROIT RED WINGS
Pavel Datsyuk earned first star honors after picking up five goals and adding two more assists to tie for the league lead with seven points last week. His outstanding play also helped Detroit to earn seven out of eight possible points in the standings during their four games played. Datsyuk currently has 12 goals, 22 assists, and 34 points on the season.
Datsyuk is in all CCM gear this season after Reebok made the switch over. He wears a CCM helmet up top, and has a great pair of custom CCM 5 roll gloves on his hands. He’s been doing some sniping recently with his CCM Ultra Tacks stick, and rocks a pair of custom CCM pro pants. On his feet are the CCM Jetspeed skates.
SECOND STAR – HENRIK LUNDQVIST, G, NEW YORK RANGERS
Henrik Lundqvist had an unbelievable week to earn second star honors. I’m actually quite surprised he didn’t pick up first star after going 3-0-0 in three starts. His numbers were outstanding as well, with a 0.67 goals against average and a .976 save percentage. He also picked up one shutout among his three wins.
Lundqvist is a Bauer guy wearing Bauer’s all new OD1N inspired gear. He wears the Bauer Supreme 1S OD1N goal pads, and also uses the Supreme 1S catch glove and blocker.
THIRD STAR – BRAD MARCHAND, LW, BOSTON BRUINS
Brad Marchand also picked up seven points last week en route to third star honors. His four goals in four games helped to continue his goal streak – Marchand has now scored in seven consecutive games. He also has 28 goals on the season, tied for a career high which he should easily surpass soon.
Marchand is a Bauer guy from head to toe. Starting out up top, a Bauer helmet. Moving down, you’ll find a pair of Bauer Vapor APX2 pro gloves, and a Bauer Vapor 1X stick. He wears a pair of custom Bauer pro pants, and then finishes off with the Bauer Supreme Total One MX3 skates.
