Later this summer, after the release of another hot new stick from the same manufacturer, CCM Hockey will launch the brand new CCM Super Tacks AS1 stick.
The refreshed Tacks line has been one of my all-time favorite product lines since I’ve been playing hockey, and I’m incredibly excited to see what they have done with the new line. Let’s jump right in and check out the details of the Super Tacks AS1 stick.
The CCM Super Tacks AS1 stick is designed with a mid-kick flex profile which has been optimized based on the location of your bottom hand when you’re shooting. In other words, the flex point will adjust based on how your holding your hands and will be optimized for different types of shots. This allows you to maximize power behind each and every shot you take.
In the shaft of the CCM Super Tacks AS1 stick, you’ll find that it is engineered to provide a longer loading period for stability and control. This is in part due to the high-torsion and stiff hosel or taper area.
The shaft is also designed using Sigmatex carbon fiber as well as X-Flow technology. The new X-Flow technology involves a high-pressure setup plus the proprietary X-Flow material. The design leads to less resin in the shaft, and more fiber, which results in a higher strength to weight ratio. The Sigmatex and X-Flow technologies combine to make the CCM Super Tacks AS1 stick the lightest and most durable mid-kick stick on the market.
Moving down into the blade, you’ll find a new ACU3 blade. This design features a streamlined architecture and a very stiff blade which will offer exceptional accuracy that remains consistent from shot to shot.
The all-new CCM Super Tacks AS1 stick is scheduled to be released in late August and will be available for pre-order from our friends at Ice and Inline Warehouse beginning on July 27th.
