CCM refreshed their four roll style gloves in 2020, and the new model is called the CCM Tacks 4R Pro 2 gloves.
The CCM Tacks 4R Pro 2 gloves are an update to their traditional style gloves which offer a bit more of a relaxed fit in the fingers and backhand, along with an open cuff. This style offers maximum mobility and ease of movement.
Starting in the palm, the CCM Tacks 4R Pro 2 gloves offer a reinforced nash palm. This pro level spec gives you an incredible feel for your stick, and adds nash reinforcement for extra durability.
The backhand portion of the glove uses D3O smart foam for incredible protection. This foam reacts differently to impacts, depending on the force. It works incredibly well for absorbing impacts from slashes or errant pucks in order to keep your hands well protected. In addition to that, the CCM Tacks 4R Pro 2 gloves also make use of dual density foam and PE inserts for even more protection.
Inside the CCM Tacks 4R Pro 2 gloves you will find a sublimated graphic liner which has been treated with polygiene to help prevent bacteria build up which leads to those awful hockey glove smells were all used to.
The thumb of the CCM Tacks 4R Pro 2 gloves will be a Pro Flexthumb on the senior models. This two-piece thumb is used to enhance mobility allowing you to get a solid grip on your stick, while also keeping you protected from hyperextension.
Finally, you will find a segmented flexcuff with PE inserts on the CCM Tacks 4R Pro 2 gloves. This open design gives you maximum mobility, while also providing great protection.
The CCM Tacks 4R Pro 2 gloves launched on May 29th, and are now available from hockey retailers everwhere. If you’re interested in picking up a pair today, be sure to visit our friends at Ice and Inline Warehouse for free shipping on your order.
