Coming this summer, CCM will launch their updated CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro stick.
Similar to the CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro skates which we covered previously, the CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro stick is already in the hands of pro players in the NHL, most notably Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
We came across some info shared online about the new Jetspeed FT4 Pro stick, so let’s dive in to what we know so far.
First, the CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro stick is engineered to use CCM’s most popular kick point at the pro level, the hybrid kick point, and is now introducing their new Skeleton+ technology. This new manufacturing technology is focused in the taper area and provides a lighter stick with an improved feel.
The CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro stick will also use nanolite carbon layering technology. This high performance layering technique helps reduce the weight of the stick while making it incredibly strong as well. These attributes are both enhanced by the carbon layering being combined with Sigmatex Spread Tow carbon fiber.
Moving down into the blade, the Jetspeed FT4 Pro stick features the RR-90 blade with damp-core. This blade utilizes an exclusive dampening material and an optimized stiffness. It’s designed and engineered to give you the best of both worlds when it comes to feel for the puck and pop when shooting.
CCM will also be utilizing what they call their R-Geometry on the Jetspeed FT4 Pro stick. It’s a streamlined shape with rounded corners and concave sidewalls which continues to become more and more popular according to CCM. This setup is designed to provide maximum performance and comfort.
This next iteration of the Jetspeed stick is shaping up to be an incredible one. After 17 games this season, Auston Matthews is currently at 16 goals and 9 assists, good for 25 points, with his new Jetspeed FT4 Pro stick. Obviously he’s a world class player, but it seems like he’s digging the new twig as well with all this success.
As I mentioned above, the CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro stick is set to launch in the summer of 2021. Keep checking back here for further updates, or head over to visit our friends at Ice Warehouse. As soon as the stick is available for pre-order or purchase, you can bet they’ll have it ready to buy.
Do you know what blade patterns CCM is going to use in 2021? Will they keep their current lineup P28/P29/P90TM? Thank you!
Great question. As far as I know it will be the P90TM, P28, P29, and P88.
How much will the different sizes weight?
What would be the average price (depending of sizes) be when it comes out? Also will we be able to customize the stick (with name, color, etc)? -Thank you!
Yeah, how much will the different sizes weigh?
The weight of the FT4 Pro stick is the same as that of the FT3 Pro
