LA Kings meets Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Teams across the league partake in enticing hockey packages, but none quite like the Los Angeles Kings. Tonight when the Kings face the Colorado Avalanche, fans will be encouraged to dress up for the Star Wars The Clone Wars night with the LA Kings.

Tickets will be reduced, sections will have Star Wars themes, photo opportunities with your favorite Star Wars characters, in-game entertainment featuring Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and perhaps the coolest part of the package, limited edition Kings Yoda hockey puck.

It is always nice to be able to go to a game, but sometimes it is that much sweeter when you have another incentive. My hat is off to the Kings for putting together such a cool hockey package.

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend, but I will be watching in hopes to see a hard fought game, as well as a chance to see a hot Princess Leah. Is it cold in here or are you just happy to see me?

  1. It would be fun to watch that game on TV just to see
    camera shots panning the crowd!!!!

    Only in Hollywood.

I went to a Kings game in LA once. It was kinda weird going to a hockey game in a short sleeve shirt. And also seeing Sylvester Stallone in the crowd.

  2. I plan on tuning in to see the crowd, because like you say, it should be cool to see. And yes, only in LA for sure.

Catching a game in a t-shirt would be cool for sure. Althought it does not seem quite right.

  3. I dunno where you guys have been the past two years, but I’ve been attending Red Wings games in May and June wearing shorts and t-shirts. Love me some playoff hockey! And the ever-changing Michigan climate!

  4. Chris I agree with you, I’ve been to preseason and playoff games and it is weird seeing people in tshirts and shorts at a hockey game

  5. Haha, don’t worry, I don’t attend all that many either. Luckily I was able to save some tax refund cash in 2008 but vowed not to go to a playoff game unless it was the Stanley Cup Finals. Matt and I were at Game 2 against the Pens when Filppula scored that nasty diving breakaway goal. I figured it was a nice once-in-a-lifetime opportunity while I still could.
