The Official Detroit Red Wings Facebook page posted a picture this afternoon of the pumpkin that won the 2010 Detroit Red Wings Pumpkin Carving Contest. The detail of the carving is actually pretty incredible and features Red Wings superstars Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg in full game gear complete with helmets, gloves, sticks and their numbers carved into the sides of their jerseys. Entries for the contest were accepted through October 28. The grand prize for the contest was a hockey stick autographed by Valtteri Filppula. The Red Wings also provided some fun stencils on their official website for fans to download and carve onto their pumpkins as well.
