Good hockey movies seem to be few and far between. It seems, however, that the time has come for another one to grace our presence. This new flick, Goon, is currently screening at the Toronto Film Festival to solid reviews. Seann William Scott stars alongside Liev Schreiber, Jay Baruchel, and Allison Pill in this comedy from Evan Goldberg, the writer of Superbad, Knocked Up, and The Pineapple Express. The story is about a bouncer who, after being labelled an outcast by his brainy family, “overcomes long odds to lead a team of under performing misfits to semi-pro hockey glory, beating the crap out of everything that stands in his way,” according to IMDB.
