Montreal Canadiens: 43 games played, 57 points

The Canadiens have fared relatively well over the course of the season, mainly staying atop the Northeast Division. But with three losses in a row recently, the first for this season, something is not clicking.

Number one goalie Carey Price perhaps is the person to blame. Price has allowed in 21 goals during the month of April, 15 of those in his last four games played. He has been run out in his last two starts, and last night where he came in to relieve Peter Budaj’s poor performance, he let three goals in and ended the night with a .850 save percentage.

Again, the Canadiens have done well this year, and perhaps this is a small blunder. However, if they fail to regain their mojo and take the division, they could potentially face the Toronto Maple Leafs, who, in their four meetings this year, have lost three of the four with a negative eight goal differential (7 goals for, 15 goals against).

Key Match-ups: Tampa Bay Lightning and the Winnipeg Jets; two victories they need. Also, they face the Toronto Maple Leafs in their last game, which they need to not only prove to themselves, but show the Maple Leafs that they won’t be pushovers come playoff time.
