Props to the Wirtz Corporation and Chicago Blackhawks organization for their one page ad in the Boston newspaper today thanking fans for staying classy during the Stanley Cup Finals. The open letter to the Bruins and the city of Boston shows a lot of class on the Chicago side as well though. While the Chicago fans at game 7 couldn’t maintain that same sentiment, it was great to see Rocky Wirtz and John McDonough put this together for a city that has been through a lot over the past few months.
The note, as you can read in its entirety below, thanks the Bruins and the city of Boston for their hospitality, big heart and gracious spirit. We certainly hope more teams and fans can respond positively to this type of behavior and adopt it in their own cities.
Check out the full thank you ad below, and as always, drop us a line in the comments with your thoughts!
