During the second of two Red Wings vs Maple Leafs Alumni games yesterday, Chris Chelios celebrated a goal with possibly one of the best goal celebrations I have ever seen. After beating Leafs goalie Felix Potvin with a quick wrist shot, Chelios turned and skated hard back towards center ice. Those who expected Chelios to just dive on the ice were in for a treat when the defenseman turned onto his back and then laid only his skates and head on the ice, propping the rest of his body up.

“Well I hadn’t scored in a few years and I didn’t really get to play in the last outdoor game so I told myself if I score early enough and the ice was still good I was going to pull off my big move,” Chelios later said about his celebration. “Tiger Williams rides his stick, I ride my head.”
