Warning: The amount of undressing that occurred when Vladamir Tarasenko scored his incredible highlight reel one-handed goal earlier this week makes any viewing of said goal potentially NSFW.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days, chances are good you’ve at least heard about Tarasenko’s awesome power play tally against the New York Rangers. The tally came midway through the second period with St. Louis trailing the Rangers 1-0. As the Blues skated through center ice, the team dropped the puck back to a streaking Tarasenko, who entered the zone and proceeded to deke past three Rangers defenseman. With only goalie Henrik Lundqvist standing between him and a tie game, Tarasenko decided to cut in front of Lundqvist, pull the puck back and slide a one-handed shot into the net.
With hands like that, it’s easy to see why the Blues are so high on this kid’s offensive skill.
To make matters more incredible, The Flippist, a self-proclaimed non-hockey fan, created a custom flip book illustrating the goal in all of its glory. The animated video shows Tarasenko splitting the D, moving in on Lundqvist and pulling off the one-handed goal. It’s pretty neat. Check out the video below.
