Not often do we see highlight plays from a youth or high school hockey game. But with modern technology and everyone being able to film something from their pocket, plays like this pop up on the internet from time to time.
This video was posted to Facebook from KAAL, a television in southeastern Minnesota. It features a girls high school game between Minnetonka High School and Eden Prairie High School from January 16. Minnetonka forward Presley Norby received a pass from a teammate while skating through the neutral zone. Just as she crossed over the attacking blue line, she placed the puck on the toe of her stick, spun to her left around a defender and fired a shot on goal. It’s safe to say she didn’t score because the video cut out just after the puck was shot but it was a great move nonetheless.
Check out this amazing goal from Presley Norby who plays for Minnetonka High School. She scored it a couple of nights ago vs. Eden Prairie High School. Thanks to J. Gunderson for the video.

This season, Minnetonka is 6-1-1 in their league and 18-2-2 overall. Norby has 27 goals and 41 points this season. Norby is committed to playing college hockey at Wisconsin and was a member of the United States U-18 team that won the gold medal at the IIHF U18 World Championship earlier this month in St. Catherines, Ont. She played in five games and recorded two assists.
She’s a couple weeks away from turning 18 and with the Olympics two years away, she could be on the radar for winning a gold medal on the biggest stage in women’s hockey.
