Alkali CA9 RPD Roller Hockey Skate

Alkali Hockey unveiled their latest roller hockey skate not too long ago with some sneak peak photos, but it’s their latest video about the skates that has continued generating hype.

The new Alkali CA9 RPD roller hockey skates feature several upgrades over the original CA9 skates. First off, the Alkali CA9 RPD skates feature a new carbon fiber composite heel and carbon fiber tendon guard. The carbon fiber in these areas will help to strengthen the boot in key areas and prevent premature breakdown. Additionally, these carbon fiber areas will decrease the overall weight of the CA9 RPD skates.

New and larger pads inside the boot will help to secure the ankle and eliminate heel lift. Alkali has also used their exclusive anti-microbial and quick drying liner in the CA9 RPD skate. Alkali also increased the length of the 3-piece 9mm pro felt tongue to give a bit of extra flop to those players who like that.

Alkali will continue with their carbon fiber outsole on the CA9 RPD, and remain the only roller hockey company to use a straight 80mm magnesium chassis. They’ll also be using swiss bearings and Labeda Addiction wheels.

The new Alkali CA9 RPD roller hockey skates will be available in October. Leave us your thoughts in the comments and let us know if you’re going to get a pair of Alkali’s latest and greatest skates.
