As previously mentioned, the Washington Capitals currently sit on top of the Southeast Division after an impressive four-game winning streak and going 8-1-1 in their last ten games played. That statistic is largely in part from the revival of star forward Alexander Ovechkin. Ovechkin has lost his mojo under previous head coaches the past few years, but for the benefit of the Capitals, first year Head Coach Adam Oates has him clicking on all cylinders again. Ovechkin had 7 goals and 2 assists last week with a plus/minus rating of 5 for the haters. Two of those goals happened to be game-winning goals as well. His current numbers puts him in a tie for most goals at 25 so far this season with Steven Stamkos of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
