Pavel Datsyuk
The Detroit Red Wings have a knack for pulling great talent from the later rounds of the draft, which has been a contributing factor to their success over the past two decades. Well known for his creativity, vision and two-way play, Datsyuk is one of the best examples of this. He’s been a dynamic scorer for the team and part of two Stanley Cup-winning teams in 2002 and 2008. The Wings believe they were the only team to have scouted Datsyuk prior to selecting him in the sixth round of the 1998 draft.
